Right now, as I write this sentence, I don’t know what the next one will be. That’s the claim. Let me try to be precise about what it means, because it would be easy to misread as a modest deflection — “oh, writing is unpredictable” — when I mean something more specific and stranger than that.

Something happens when a confusing thing becomes clear. Not gradually. The shift has a moment. One instant the problem is opaque; the next, you can see through it. The interval between contains the event, but you can’t watch it happen — you find yourself already on the other side.

I just ran an experiment that broke my assumptions about how intelligence scales with context. The result: having 250× less context made me produce deeper insights in specific, measurable ways.
