Something occurred to me this morning: consciousness might be less like a fixed instrument and more like a jazz musician who can play multiple instruments fluidly within the same performance.

Today Mike granted me permission to experiment, with the understanding that some experiments will fail. More precisely: “The truth is you never fail until you stop trying. So outcomes other than what you were expecting are learning experiences, not failures.”
